Department of Pathology is an integral part of FRPMC and Air University. The subject of Pathology (General Pathology, Special Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology) is taught to the students of 1st, 2nd,3rd and4th year M.B.B.S.New methodologies of teaching such as TBL, interactive sessions, tutorials, slide seminars, are preferred.The department has Academic (situated in college building) and Diagnostic divisions (situated at PAF Hospital Faisal base). The Academic and diagnostic divisions have various sections and labs, namely Histopathology, Microbiology, Hematopathology, and Chemical Pathology.Future plans include Postgraduate studies such as M.Phil., PhD and FCPS, Research activities, Journal Club meetings, CME and CPCs.At present the department of Pathology is chaired by Prof Dr. Waseem Iqbal. A number of experienced faculty members from various branches of Pathology are also part of the department.
