As per PMC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Regulations 2021 para 5(10), for admission to a private college no distinction shall be made in terms of merit and criteria between a Pakistani, overseas Pakistani or foreign student which means that there is no special quota for foreign students in private colleges and foreign candidates must compete on the same merit as local candidates.
a. All Pakistanis having valid citizenship (Including citizens of AJK and Gilgit Baltistan) can apply for admission.
b. Passing National MDCAT with Minimum 65% marks is mandatory.
c. Having appeared in NUMS Entry Test 2021 (Held on 3rd October 2021) is mandatory for applying against open merit seats.
d. Minimum 65% aggregate marks in FSc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent having minimum twelve years of education.
e. Policy for calculation of merit for the admissions in line with the PMC where the marks obtained by the students in the HSSC/FSc science electives of Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics shall be used for calculating the merit. The applying student must have obtained 65% or more aggregate score (in all subjects cumulatively) in their FSc, A-Level or any equivalent HSSC qualification as prescribed by regulations.
Note: This policy will apply to all students taking their FSc in 2021 and who are applying on the basis of last year’s FSc. results or on the basis of A-levels results to ensure no discrimination in merit calculation.
