Fazaia Ruth Pfau Medical College, Karachi has been established in February 2019 as a constituent institution of Air University, Islamabad. Air University is a public university, chartered in 2002 under the governance of Pakistan Air Force.

FRPMC offers a medical program with a modular, community-oriented curriculum using a spiral approach. Designed by a panel of medical education experts, the curriculum aligns with PMC guidelines. A proactive approach to interdisciplinary health sciences education and research defines the college.

The community-oriented curriculum introduces students to health issues and the importance of primary care from the very beginning.
